A stretched rubber band does not show any increase or decrease in its mass on stretching. It simply elongates on stretching. Its length increases but its thickness decreases on stretching. No new material is added or removed from the rubber band.
Since the amount and quality of matter remains same in the stretched band as in the un - stretched band, its mass remains same.
