Explanation of Solution
Solubility is a general property by which one can sort substances into two categories: soluble and insoluble. Those which can dissolve in water/solvent and form aqueous solution are called soluble and those which do not dissolve in water/solvent are called insoluble.
For example, sugar is soluble but sand is insoluble.
Many substances can be sorted into one of two categories based on whether they dissolve in water/solvent. Not only solids but liquids and gases can also dissolve in water.
