The difference between a space-filling model and a ball-and-stick model needs to be explained.
Concept introduction:
Space filling model is the representation of molecules three dimensionally where atoms are shown as sphere. The radius of the atom is proportional to the radius of the sphere. The bond length of the two connected atom is proportional to the distance between two spheres.
A ball-and-stick model is the representation of molecules in which spheres represent atoms and rod like structures represent the bond between the atoms.

In space filling model, bonds are not shown whereas in ball-and-stick model all the bonds are shown.
Explanation of Solution
A space filling model represents more rigid structure of molecule as the bonds are not shown unlike a ball-and-stick model in which all the bonds betrween atoms are shown with rod like structures. The angles of different bonds can be understood from a ball-and-stick model unlike the case of space filling model in which angle can not be understood.
