Concept explainers
Interpretation:
A lab report for the experiment designed in the class needs to be explained which includes title of the experiment, purpose, procedure, observation and conclusions.
Concept introduction:
An experiment is performed in the lab to test the theory and to provide evidence for the explanation of the future theory.

Explanation of Solution
When an experiment is performed, the purpose of it is to analyze either quantitively or qualitatively. The overall experiment is divided into following parts:
Title of the experiment: It is very important to mention the title of the experiment. This will help in understanding the major outcomes of the experiment. It should be concise or on point. It should not be general or specific.
Purpose of the experiment: An idea about reason of conducting the experiment can be determined from its title. If purpose of performing an experiment is clear then it can be performed in more efficient way.
Procedure: In this section, the detailed steps which are followed in the experiment should be explained. This will help to understand the experiment step by step. If the procedure is known the chances of errors in the experiment can be minimize.
Observations: The outcomes of the experiments are explained in this section.
Conclusion: This section includes the knowledge which one gets after performing the experiment. It explains the overall results of the procedure of the experiment in a short paragraph. It also tells whether the assumption taken in the starting of the experiment was valid or not.
For example:
Title of the experiment:
UV sensitive paper
Purpose:
To identify the change in UV sensitive paper when it is exposed to sunlight.
Procedure:
Take two UV sensitive papers. Place one under the sun so that sunrays directly fall on it and place other in a dark room where there is no sunlight. After some time rinse both the UV sensitive paper with water.
Observation:
There is no change in the color of the UV sensitive paper which was placed in the dark room. The color of the UV sensitive paper changes from blue to white which was placed under the sun.
Conclusion:
The UV sensitive paper is sensitive to UV radiations of sun. The paper is coated with a chemical which is light sensitive and water soluble. This chemical reacts with UV light waves when it is exposed to sun. The color of the paper is blue but after reacting with light waves and washed water it turns white due to formation of chemical which is water insoluble.
