Explanation of Solution

Iodic acid is a poly atomic acid hence stem + ate i.e. iodate (IO3) acts as anion and hydrogen as cation.

Balancing the charges will give formula as HIO3.

Disulphuric trioxide’s formula can be written using the concept (1)

disulphur 2 sulphur; trioxide 3 oxygen atoms thus, the formula is S2O3  (di=2;tri=3)

Dinitrogen monoxide's formula can be written using the concept (1)

dinitrogen 2 Nitrogen, monoxide 1 oxygen thus, the formula will be N2O  (di=2;mono=1)

Hydroflouric acid is a binary element containing acid in which hydrogen is cation and fluorine is anion. Thus, the formula is

H+F
