Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

Mass of potassium superoxide required to produce $\text{63}\text{.0}\text{g}$ of ${\text{O}}_{\text{2}}$ has to be calculated.

Concept Introduction:

Mass to mass conversion is done by considering the mass and molar mass of the reactant.  From the mass and molar mass of reactant, the number of moles of reactant is calculated.  Considering the balanced chemical equation, the number of moles of product formed is calculated using the conversion factor and finally the mass of product obtained is calculated using the molar mass of the product.

Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

Mass of ${\text{CO}}_{\text{2}}$ that can be removed by $\text{75}\text{.0}\text{g}$ of ${\text{KO}}_{\text{2}}$ has to be calculated.
