Introduction:
Glycolysis is the process by which glucose molecules are oxidized in order to produce two molecules of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), two molecules of NADH (reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), and two molecules of pyruvate. Pyruvate is further oxidized to produce a large amount of energy.
