Interpretation:

A denser compound has lesser volume as compared to less denser compound with same mass. The relation between density, mass and volume is as follows:

Volume of the compound with density 2.7 g/cm3 will be larger compared to the compound with density 8.4 g/cm3.
Explanation of Solution
As density is inversely proportional to volume so a matter with higher density will have smaller volume provided masses of both the matters are same.
In the given example both the compound has mass of 5 g. One has density 2.7 g/cm3 and the another has density of 8.4 g/cm3.
So, the substance with lesser density i.e 2.7 g/cm3 will have larger volume.
Substance with 2.7 g/cm3will have larger volume.
