Two ways that decreases the rate of reaction are lower temperature and lower concentration of reactants.
Explanation of Solution
Increasing temperature results increase of the average kinetic energy of reactant molecules. This results the rapid movement of particles and hence more collision occurs. Decrease of temperature results lower speed of reaction. Reaction rate also increases if the concentration of reactants is more. More reactants in small volume results more collision. So, decreasing concentration is a way to reduce speed of reaction.
Many factors affects the rate of chemical reaction, such as, concentration, temperature etc.
