Interpretation :
The weather associated with high pressure and low pressure must be explained.
Concept Introduction :
Air pressure is developed due the weight of the column of air which is present in the atmosphere surrounding the earth.
Answer to Problem 1E
Cold and hot weather is associated with high pressure and low pressure respectively.
Explanation of Solution
If the temperature is low during cold weather then the air is heavy which occupy the surrounding. So there is high pressure. But when weather becomes hot, then the hot air goes up and a vacancy is generated in the atmosphere which leads to low pressure.
