Interpretation:

The transition- state structures involved in the reaction of HBr with 1-pentene is to be drawn. Whether each structure resembles reactant or product also is to be stated.

Concept introduction:

The transition state will have a structure in which the bonds of the reactants involved in the reaction are in the process of breaking while that in the products are in the process of getting formed. Its structure will resemble the products in an endergonic reaction and reactants in an exergonic reaction.
