Photon describes the energy of light whereas quanta describe the amount of energy in electrons.
Explanation of Solution
The quantity of energy needed to transport an electron from one energy level to another is referred to as a quantum. As a result, it is said that an electron's energy is quantized.
According to Einstein, light can be modeled as energy quanta that behave like particles. These particles are termed photons. According to Planck's equation, photon energy is quantized.
A photon possesses both wave and particle characteristics, whereas a quantum does not.
A photon is not about a measure of quantity, although quantum can be compared to a measure of quantity.
