To determine what it means for two non-zero numbers to be relatively prime
Answer to Problem 2CR
Two Non-Zero whole numbers are said to be relative prime when their Greatest Common Divisor (GCD) is 1.
Explanation of Solution
Calculation:
Suppose there are two non zero numbers a & b as 12 & 13.
As it can be seen that there is no integer other than 1which divides both a & b. This means that their Greatest Common Divisor is 1.
On the other hand, numbers 12 & 14 are not relatively prime as they have 2 as their Greatest Common Divisor. (GCD)
