Explanation of Solution
The three vessel have different shapes and different surface areas. When these three are left outside during rain storm then water will be collected in those depending on the open surface area. As the graduated cylinder has very less open surface area, it will have less amount of water as compared to large wash tub.
Volume of water which will be collected in a washtub, a dog’s water dish and a graduated cylinder after rain storm will be different.
