Interpretation:
The skeleton equation and a chemical equation needs to be compared.
Concept introduction:
There are many ways of representing a chemical equation, such as, word equation, skeleton equation and chemical equation. Along with reactant and product, these equations provide some other important information regarding the reactions, such as physical states of reactants and products etc.
Answer to Problem 9SSC
Skeleton equation and a chemical equation are differed only in one thing, that is, chemical equation follows law of conservation of mass and skeleton equation don’t.
Explanation of Solution
The skeleton equation and chemical equation both uses chemical formulas to show products and reactants of the reaction and this equation also shows the physical states of reactant and products.
The only difference between both the reaction is, the chemical equation is represents the balanced chemical equation but skeleton equation don't.
Chemical equation shows chemical formulas and relative amounts of substances taking part in the reaction.
