Explanation of Solution
Cathode-ray consists of electrons which are negatively charged particles. Anode end in cathode-ray tube is connected to the positive terminal of a battery. Since, electrons are negatively charged they get attracted towards the positive terminal, i.e., anode. Due to this, cathode-ray originates from cathode and travels to anode.
