Aristotle was one of the most influential Greek philosophers. Aristotle had rejected the idea of atoms because it did not match with his own ideas about nature. Aristotle’s major objection came for the idea that atoms moved through empty space. According to Aristotle, empty spaces did not exist.
Aristotle believed that matter is composed of earth, fire, air and water and empty spaces do not exist.
