Any change in the genetic material of an organism, which further, becomes permanent are referred to as mutations. One kind of mutation is base-pair mutation, which involves the alteration of a single base pair in the genetic material. There are two kinds of cells, namely tumor suppressor genes and proto-oncogenes.
