Given information: Volume of cone
Volume of cylinder If radius( r ) and height( h ) of both cone and cylinder are identical.
If compare the two formulae, one is exactly a third of the other. This means that the Volume of a cone is exactly one third the volume of the cylinder with the same radius and height.
In the figure above , cone is inside the circumscribed cylinder.
Hence, Volume of cone is one-third of volume of a cylinder.
