Concept explainers
To Describe: The thermal energy of the coolant changes in the refrigerator.
Answer to Problem 20R
A refrigerator contains liquid nitrogen, evaporator, condenser and other parts which help to keep the environment cool inside the refrigerator.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
The refrigerator circulates the coolant gas which is formed from the liquid nitrogen and dissipates the hot air outside.
A refrigerator contains evaporator which converts liquid nitrogen into gas which flows inside. The condenser converts the gas back to the liquid. The compressor is use to compress the air to regulate the function of refrigerator. Such coolant device pumps the gas all over inside the refrigerator.
Conclusion:
Hence, the coolant devices in the refrigerator cool the surrounding inside.
