Interpretation:
The solid which is amorphous needs to be determined from the one which is formed by cooling a molten material for 4 h at room temperature and which is formed by cooling a molten material quickly in an ice bath.
Concept introduction:
Amorphous solids are also known as non-crystalline solids. In these solids, atoms and molecules are arranged in fix lattice pattern. The examples of amorphous solids are glass, gel and plastic. In solids and liquid, molecules are present in the form of condensed matter and they are in close proximity to each other.

Explanation of Solution
The amorphous solids are formed when molten material is cooled quickly to form solid crystals. Thus, when molten material is quickly cooled in an ice bath, amorphous solid is formed. They tend to become soft slowly over a wide range of temperature. If the molten material is cooled at room temperature over 4 h, the molecules, atoms or ions can rearranged to form highly ordered crystalline form of the solid.
