In ionic solids sometimes certain number of water molecules are present.
For example CuSO4.5H2O contains 5 water molecules. So it is a pentahydrate. It is named as copper sulfate pentahydrate.
Similarly, Na2CO3.10H2O is named as sodium carbonate decahydrate because it contains 10 water molecules.
