Concept introduction:
Pressure can be conveniently measured for gases and fluids. The pressure of a liquid or a gas is equal to the density of that liquid multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity and the height of the liquid above the certain point. The standard unit for pressure is Pascal (Pa). The motion of atoms and molecules generates heat or thermal energy and it is measured as ‘temperature’. This energy is found in all materials. Notably, the more motion the atoms or molecules have the more heat or thermal energy they may have. If the values of two variables such as temperature and pressure is found out, the value of other variable i.e., volume can be easily calculated.
