In this study, researchers wanted to find out if the cocoa beverages really improve the blood flow in the body or not. So, they conducted the experiment and studied the blood flow measured on the first day of the experiment to that of the fifth day of experiment.
Thus, in this experiment there is a flaw in the design as the blood flow of the subject can be improved by many other causes that is if the subject is eating good food or something extra that improves the blood flow in the body. Thus, there should be two groups one to which the cocoa beverages would be given and the other group would be the control group that is placebo should be given.
