In this study, a school counsellor wants to compare the effectiveness of an online SAT preparation program with an in-person SAT preparation class.
If we conduct a completely randomized experiment then we will randomly assign all the students a unique numbers. Then we will choose the first randomly selected half of the students to the online SAT preparation class and the remaining half students will be assigned to the in-person SAT preparation program.

In this study, a school counsellor wants to compare the effectiveness of an online SAT preparation program with an in-person SAT preparation class.
A matched pairs experiment compares two treatments which each subject undergoes. Thus, the selected students who willingly wants to be the part of the experiment will be the part of the both the treatments i.e. they will be seated for the online SAT preparation classes and in-person SAT preparation classes both and then the results were asked by each of the students to compare both the ways of teaching and then the result will be examined.

The design of experiment we will choose be the matched pair experiment as it compares two treatments that each subject will undergo. As it results in that the students are able to clearly identify which method of teaching they found better in learning and experiencing. Thus this method will be preferred than the completely randomized experiment.
