To find out does this describe anonymous or confidential screening and why.
Answer to Problem 114E
Anonymous but not confidential.
Explanation of Solution
In this, Texas A&M offer screening for HIV in which persons who sign up for screening will be assigned a number so that they do not have to give their name and then they can have results of the test by telephone still without giving their name.
This shows that this is anonymous, because a name never has to be given but not confidential, because everybody can call and give a different number than their own, and thus everybody could know the result of a certain individual (although not the name).
