Hypersensitivity is the undesirable responses produced by the immune system against an antigen or allergen. Allergies and autoimmune disorders are referred to as hypersensitivity reactions. There are four types of hypersensitivity reactions – type I, type II, type III, and type IV hypersensitivity reactions.
