Summary Introduction
Antibodies (immunoglobulins Igs) are considered as the major components of humoral immunity. Igs are classified into five types, namely IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG, and IgM. IgG is the major Ig present in human serum, plasma, and tissue fluids. It acts against pathogens like viruses and bacteria by opsonizing the invaders. It also neutralizing viruses and toxins.
