To design:
Answer to Problem 22Q
A relay to close an electrical switch.
Solution:
Explanation of Solution
The relay needed large current for its starting and does not pass to the dashboard switch.
As relays are constructed with electrical, mechanical and magnetic components, and have operating coil and mechanical contacts. Therefore, when current from supply system flown through relay, the solenoid gets activated and produce strong magnetic field inside of solenoid and strong magnetic field attracts the piece of iron on the springy pivot that helps it to move towards switch and after connecting it, it allows the current to flow through the large current circuit. Therefore, relay needed large current for its starting and does not pass to the dashboard switch.
Conclusion:
Thus, relay needed large current for its starting and does not pass to the dashboard switch.
