Interpretation:
The difference between malnutrition and undernourishment has to be given.
Concept introduction:
Malnutrition:
It occurs due to an unbalanced, inadequate in-take of micronutrients and macronutrients. Malnutrition refers to an abnormal physiological condition which has the symptoms like lack of appetite, loss of fat, tiredness etc.
Undernourishment:
It is a condition results from poor absorption which includes underweight, stunting and wasting etc.
Explanation of Solution
Different abnormal conditions will arise by the lack of proper eating.
Malnutrition and Undernourishment are two problems regarding our diet and the way we eat.
If we eat a diet which lacks the correct mix of nutrients, but having adequate energy content, then an abnormal physiological condition called malnutrition arises.
Undernourishment is defined as the condition which is due to the insufficient energy content of the food eaten.
