Introduction:

Two forms of fats are found in nature-cis and -trans. Trans fats are unsaturated fats. Saturated fats have no double bond but unsaturated fats consist of one or more double bonds. The double bond present in unsaturated fats is either found in cis or trans form, depending upon the position of hydrogen atoms on the sides of the double bond.
