Introduction:

Triglycerides, in the body, are stored as lipid droplets or oil bodies. Lipids are a major part of the body as they constitute the cell membrane, which is a phospholipid bilayer. They are components of steroids and hormones that act as signaling molecules. These lipid molecules also play a protective role, like in the case of tocopherol.
