Introduction:

Fats are composed of a glycerol backbone and three fatty acid chains. These biomolecules are a source of energy and they are a major component of the cell, for example, cholesterol, lipid bilayer, hormones etc. It takes a lot of time for fats to be digested in the body but they are the most efficient source of energy.
