Chapter 9, Problem 2RQ
Summary Introduction
To determine:
Whether the statement is true or false.
Introduction:
The cause of obesity may be complex, but the body’s energy balance is straightforward. In order to lose or gain the fats, the amount of the fats consumed should be monitored, with respect to the total energy consumed by the body. A change in body weight of a pound or two may not indicate a change in body fat, however - it can reflect shifts in body fluid content, in bone minerals, in lean tissues such as muscles, or in the contents of the bladder or digestive tract. A weight change often correlates with time of day like, people generally weigh the least before breakfast.
