Given information: We have the given the sides of triangle are 8, 10, 12

Let ABC be a triangle.

Also let a = 8, b = 10 and c = 12

We see that

  $\begin{array}{l}{c}^2<a^2+b^2\\ {12}^2<8^2+{10}^2\\ 144<64+100\\ 144<164\end{array}$

Therefore from the converse of Pythagoras theorem if $c^2<a^2+b^2$ then $\Delta ABC$ is acute triangle.
