Introduction:

Numerous biochemical reactions occur inside the living organisms and is significant to carry out normal metabolic processes of the body. One of them is glycosylation reaction thatattaches simple sugars (or glycans) to lipids or proteins to form glycolipids and glycoproteins, respectively. These reactions are catalyzed by glycosyltransferases enzyme that forms glycosidic bond between anomeric carbon of sugars and nitrogen (N-linked glycosylation) or oxygen atoms (O-linked glycosylation) of other molecules. These reactions consist of various intermediates and products that help in the processing of various other sugar compounds, to get the desiredproduct.
