Interpretation: The products of the reactions between haloalkanes and given reagents needs to be determined.

Concept Introduction: Haloalkanes undergo nucleophilic substitution ( SN1 and SN2 ) or elimination(E1 and E2) reaction. The final product depends on the stability of the carbocation form during the reaction.

The tertiary haloalkanes undergo SN1 reactions and the secondary and primary haloalkanes undergo SN2 reactions.
