The pKa (acid dissociation constant) value of any amino acid gives information about the acidity of the amino acid. A higher pKa value means that the amino acid is strongly acidic in nature.
pKa was introduced to determine the acidity of weak acids in the acid-base reactions that occur in aqueous solutions.
