Explanation of Solution

The early concept of matter by ancient Greeks is totally different from the modern definition of matter. As per the early concept, the matter is composed of 4 things that are fire, air, water and earth. This concept or theory is completely different from the modern definition which says the matter is composed of atoms and all the atoms of 1 element are the same and atoms of two different elements are different. In ancient times, Aristotle proposed that matter is a continuous substance and it does not have any fundamental unit. According to the modern theory, a matter is composed of atoms that have subatomic particles; protons, electrons and neutrons.
