Concept explainers
To explain: The general rules of maintaining a healthy diet.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
A balanced diet contains all nutrients in amounts that are required by the body.
Meats like beef, pork are rich in fats. Some dairy foods like milk, butter, cheese are also rich in fats. These foods, even though rich in nutrients should not be taken in large quantities. An accumulation of fats in the body blocks the arteries carrying blood. A diet with more cereals, fruits and vegetables and less fats is a healthy choice.
Conclusion:
A diet with carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water in the necessary amounts is required by the body to stay healthy.
