Concept explainers
To explain: A good representation of protein stating its importance in the human body.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Proteins are formed when amino acids combine together.
Proteins are formed when amino acids are linked through peptide bonds. Fifty or more amino acids linked together in a chain through peptide bonds to form proteins. Hence a chain structure is an accurate representation of a protein. Proteins are found in muscles, tendons, hair and nails of the human body. Protein is also found in blood and help carry oxygen. Proteins make up fifteen percent of the body weight.
Conclusion:
The human body processes proteins from the food intake for its use.
