Chapter 20, Problem 5RQ
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The bilaterally symmetrical vessel.
Introduction:
The blood vessels of the head and limbs are bilaterally symmetrical, which means that they are paired and present on both sides of the body. The aorta is the largest artery of the body and it branches off into ascending, descending and aortic arch further in its course. From the aortic arch, three arteries branch off, which include the brachiocephalic trunk, left common carotid artery and left subclavian artery.
