In the solution of table sugar and water, the table sugar will be in less quantity and the water is in more quantity. The solution will be the unsaturated solution. After adequate mixing of the solute and the solvent, the solution will become saturated. The compound in less quantity is called a solute and the compound in more quantity is called a solvent.
The solute along with the solvent will make a solution. The solution can be saturated or unsaturated. Saturated solutions are those in which the solute cannot be dissolved at a certain temperature. Unsaturated solutions are those in which the solute can be dissolved at a given temperature.
