Explanation of Solution
In contrast to solids, particles are less tightly packed in liquids. Liquids take on that shape when maintained in a container. Compression is challenging in liquids because there is less room for particle mobility. Although liquids have a fixed volume, their shapes are not.
The average kinetic energy of a liquid's particles rises as it warms. As more and more molecules can reach the liquid's surface and enter the vapor phase, the rate of evaporation accelerates. The liquid eventually reaches a point where all the molecules have enough kinetic energy to evaporate.
