The reason behind the fact that protein synthesis takes place much more slowly in eukaryotes as compared to the prokaryotes is to be discussed.
Concept introduction:
The prokaryotic organisms are single-celled organisms. They have small circular DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), plasma membranes, cytoplasm, cell wall, ribosomes but they lack in the membrane-bound organelles.
The eukaryotic organisms are multicellular organisms and they have well-defined membrane-bound organelles, such as the nucleus, mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, and ribosomes.
