The Event A and the Event B are dependent events.
Explanation of Solution
Given information : the event is given as,
Event A: you choose a member of a baseball team to be the pitcher.
Event B: you choose a different member of the team to be the catcher.
from the given event it can be concluded that,
The outcome of Event A doesaffects the outcome of the Event B, becausewhen one member is chosen as a pitcher in the Event A, the catcher will be chosen from the remaining member of the team in the Event B. so the two events are dependent on each other.
