What it means for two events to be independent
Answer to Problem 1E
Two events are said to be independent if the outcome of one event does not affect the outcome of other event.
Explanation of Solution
Let event A be flipping a coin and getting a head or a tail and let event Brolling a fair number cube, then we know that the result of event B does not affect the result of event A and the result of event A does not affect the result of event B. Such events are said to be independents events.
