Introduction:

Hormones are the chemical compounds secreted by endocrine glands into the bloodstream while neurotransmitters are secreted by the nervous system. Unlike hormones, neurotransmitters are not secreted into the blood stream. They are released in synaptic cleft between two nerve cells on the arrival of nerve impulse.
