Introduction:
The pituitary gland, also known by the term hypophysis, is a small pea-sized gland present in the brain and it is divided into two lobes namely- the anterior lobe (adenohypophysis) and the posterior lobe (neurohypophysis). It is the neural part of the pituitary gland. The adrenal gland is located at the top of the kidneys and contains two parts- the adrenal cortex and the adrenal medulla.
