An antioxidant is a substance that can react with the reactive oxygen species (ROS) of the cell to prevent the cell from the effects of oxidation. GSH is water-soluble, crystalline glutathione/glutamate inits reduced form. It can befound in blood and several other tissues in plants and animals. It is the key reducing agent of the cell, and has antioxidant propetes. It also carries out the activation of someenzymes.
